Thankfully, though, that’s not what Thanksgiving is all about. One of my favorite aspects of this holiday is that it gives us time to reflect on those things that are most special in our lives.
This Thanksgiving, one of the things I am grateful for is Carson High School. Not the brick and mortar that make the building, but the people that create its wonderful atmosphere. I am thankful for the students, the laughter they bring to our hallways, tears they shed on courts and fields, and the work ethic they show in the classroom. I am thankful for teachers who routinely go the extra mile for students, who work until the early hours of the evening, and who sacrificially give their time and energy to invest in the lives of our students.
I wrote this the night I became the Principal of Carson High, but it continues to be true: I am humbled and honored to lead such an incredible school.
I wish everyone in the Carson Community a Happy Thanksgiving filled with family, laughter, food, and fun.
