Why a JCHS Blog?

This blog was written by Angelo DelliSanti, Principal of Carson High School.

In a world completely full of technological options, one might ask: Why would a high school start a blog? Twitter, Facebook, and other social media sites have the ability to keep us up-to-date with what is going on at Carson, so isn't a blog just something else to keep up with? As the Principal of Jesse C. Carson High School, I want you to know our answer to that question.

Our answer is simply this: We want to be able to share the story of growing to become the best high school in North Carolina.

A lot has changed in Rowan-Salisbury Schools and Carson High School is no exception. This year has seen the largest student body in Carson's history. Added to that, every single teacher and student has an Apple Macbook Air to teach and learn with, respectively. These tools represent an incredible opportunity for learning to explode, but that will only happen if we pair them with effective, data-driven instructional practices.

This blog gives us the opportunity to share that evolving story with you. So, subscribe to it through email (using the link on the column to the right) or bookmark it.

Our teachers, students, and other staff members will be the authors. Each week, we will share a different aspect of our story of becoming the best high school in North Carolina.

So, come back regularly because you will not want to miss all of the extraordinary things that are taking place at Carson!
